We've replaced broken, worn, bakelite handles with Fabreco to breathe new life into what would otherwise sit unused at the back of a cutlery drawer.

The Handle
We’ve replaced cracked and worn antique bakelite handles with Fabreco; our innovative material made from waste textiles.
We source fashion waste and end-of-life fabrics from across the UK, and through a craft we’ve been developing over years, we reimagine the textiles into a solid composite. At our workshop in Salisbury, we carve, sand, and polish the handles in the image of their broken predecessors.
The Metalware
The knives and forks begin life as pieces from high-quality vintage cutlery sets, carefully selected and fitted with new Fabreco handles. As original vintage pieces, the metalware may carry traces of its previous life. Small variations and markings are part of its story and what makes every set unique.
